NYORD's patented RUNE-HYBRID-PROTECTION™ is created in a highly complex laser-etching process in the design of a Nordic protective rune. To make NYORD stainless steel pots and pans, we use three layers of metal – also known as "tri-ply" cookware. On the outside is a layer of rust-free, particularly robust and stable (martensitic) stainless steel, which is magnetic and therefore ensures that the pots and pans work on every hob – gas, ceramic or induction. The core is a layer of aluminium, which ensures even heat distribution. Finally, there is another layer of stainless steel, refined with our innovative RUNE-HYBRID-PROTECTION™ coating.

Intended use
NYORD stainless steel cookware is suitable for all hob types: induction, gas, electric and ceramic glass, as well as for use in the oven up to 250 °C.

Instructions for use
Seasoning is not strictly necessary, but we can recommend it: put a teaspoon of heat-resistant oil (e.g. rapeseed oil) in the pan and heat it for 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat. Then wipe out the oil with a cloth. This improves the nonstick performance and supports the formation of a natural patina.
NYORD cookware conducts heat particularly efficiently, and better than you may be used to from other pans and pots. So always start with low to medium heat. A medium setting with NYORD often already corresponds to a high setting with conventional pans and pots.
Never heat the cookware empty, i.e. without oil, fat or liquid.
Only add salt to boiling water, not to cold water – this way you avoid corrosion spots in the stainless steel. Use only heat-resistant oils or fats. The glass lids included are oven-safe up to 180 °C.

Cleaning and care
Let the cookware cool down completely after use. Never rinse it with cold water straight after cooking.
Warm water with a little washing-up liquid and a dish brush or sponge is all you need for cleaning. Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners containing sand.
The stainless steel cookware is dishwasher-safe.
In the dishwasher, glass lids should be placed as upright as possible – or, better still, washed by hand.

Stains and residues
White stains (e.g. from limescale or starch) can be removed by boiling a mixture of water and vinegar in a 1:1 ratio.
Bluish discolouration can be treated with vinegar essence or a special stainless steel cleaner.
Extraneous rust (e.g. from contact with iron-containing parts in the dishwasher) can be removed with a diluted citric acid solution (10% citric acid, 90% water).
